This is a rare artist proof giclee print entitled ‘Fangio – the Maestro’ produced from an original painting by Nicholas Watts. This print depicts Juan Manuel Fangio driving the winning Maserati 250F leading the two works Ferraris of Hawthorne and Collins during the 1957 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring to clinch his fifth World Championship title. Afterwards Fangio was quoted to have said to his team that it was the fastest he had ever driven in his career. “When it was all over I was convinced I would never be able to drive like that again – never,” he said. “I had reached the limit of my concentration and will to win.” The print has not only been signed by the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio but also by Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss, Tony Brooks, Hans Hermann , Roy Salvadori and the artist Nicholas Watts. A certificate of authenticity is supplied from the publishing company (Automobile Art International) along with a photo of Fangio at the signing session.
